Scope of application AISI 202：

AISI 202 steel belongs to the category of austenitic stainless steel and is characterized by an increased content of carbon, 

chromium and manganese (it replaces some of the nickel). The increased nitrogen content provides an increase in strength 

indicators.

High corrosion resistance, including in contact with organic and inorganic compounds (halogen-free);

Resistance to organic and diluted mineral acids over a wide temperature range;

Under the influence of chlorides is subject to corrosion cracking, and preliminary cold deformation aggravates the situation;

Suitable for the manufacture of structures intended for operation outside or inside buildings;

High strength and hardness in different climatic conditions, including at low temperatures;

Good deformation properties, plasticity, good stampability and weldability;

High uniform hardness and good hardenability due to increased chromium content;

The presence of manganese in the composition gives high resistance to dynamic and shock loads;

Low sensitivity to intergranular corrosion.
